Mini Shoppers Haul!!!

Hey everyone!!!

Sorry for totally being MIA all of last week, but I was busy with lots of things.
I'm back now though! :3
I also have exciting news in the future, one of which contains a giveaway!! :D

But moving on. ;3
I went shopping today after work, and originally I wasn't planning on buying anything. But then I saw something I had been wanting, and that just started the whole 'I need to buy things' idea.

This is just an overview of what I bought, so you guys can see. :D
I got everything from Shoppers, who also gave me a $10 gift card. Huzzah!!!

I can't even contain my excitement!! :D
I've been looking for this product, and wanting it ever since it came out. And my shoppers didn't carry it for the longest time.
But today I decided to take a peek around the corner (where they have the Yes To display) and saw the pink. I've probably only screamed that loud twice. Once when I was playing Slenderman with a friend and the other when a giant dog scared the crap out of me.

Some of you may know, or you may not, but both my cheeks and chin are covered in acne scars. I've heard nothing but good things about this, and I'm excited to try this! I'm hoping it's worth the money.

Ha. I only bought this because if I spent another few dollars, I got the gift card. But I tried the tester out, and it felt pretty nice on my skin.
I've heard pretty good things about this though, which is a good thing.
And I've also been using the concealer for this line and really been liking it.

I saw this and was pretty excited. Literally just for the colours.
But they had a sample, so I tried using it. Lol not going to lie, it reminded me of icing. The consistency it nice though. It felt pretty matte, from what I remember. I haven't heard anything about this, but I hope it's good. :3

Last but not least is the Revlon Photoready BB Cream. :3
I've heard mixed reviews on this. Some really hate it but others really like it. I decided to give it a shot though. The tester felt pretty nice on my hand. Matte, which I like.
And it has SPF 30 so YAAAAAAY.

So yup! That's all I got. :3
I'm really excited to try it all out. :D

Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser Review!!!

Hey everyone!!!

I wasn't originally going to do a blog post today since I was kind of busy, but I'm in a good mood, and when I'm in a good mood, it inspires me to write. Soo, moving on!

I'm going to be reviewing the Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser!
I've actually had this exact bottle for a year, and been using it on and off. Which is weird, because I actually really like it.

Yup, it has my name on it. :p

First of all, before I forget, I have to mention that this is actually really nice for traveling because the top twists to lock the pump!
I first heard about this from missglamorazzi on youtube! She raved about it, so I bit the bullet and tried it.
This is also my first Aveeno product. :3

And I was not disappointed! I had foaming cleansers before that came out as a liquid, and would foam up. Or others that came out as a foam and then just... didn't stay foamy on your face.

When you dispense it, this is what it looks like. I forgot to rub mine in, but it looks the same. :p

I use this first, before I scrub my face and my skin's been pretty clear recently. :3
So needless to say, I really like this!

Another thing I like is that this lasts FOREVER! I feel like this is still 3/4 full, and while I have been using it on and off, I've still used it quite a bit!

So why am I still on the first bottle after a year?
Like I said, I use this on and off. I honestly don't know why though. I really do like this product, but after thinking it through, I think the reason I always stop using this is the pump.
This is probably the only flaw that exists in my opinion, and it might not be all the pumps. Maybe it's just mine.

But it sticks. When I push it down to dispense some of the product, it stays down until I bump it up. Which is really annoying, even though it only takes a second to do.

But other than that, I think it's a great product! I wouldn't mind trying out other Aveeno products in the future. :3

Overall, I would rate this an 8/10.
The pump really bothers me. But I think I'll be trying it out again after I finally run out.

Michael Todd Jojoba Charcoal Facial Scrub Review!!!

Hey everyone!!!

Today I'm going to be reviewing the Michael Todd Jojoba Charcoal Facial Scrub!! I received this in my august Ipsy bag and was extremely excited for this product after hearing multiple people rave about it for months.

Gotta love the shower cap I used for a background. :p

Anyways! I got a trial sized tube to try out. I'm never home on weekends, so this is nice to bring with me when I go.

But onto the actual product!

The actual product looks like poop. I'm not even kidding.
I had another scrub, Dark Angels from Lush that was close to this. So I was a little turned off because I thought they would smell similar, but thank goodness they didn't!
The smell is hard to describe, but it's different, in a good way!!

When I use this, I just put a large pea sized amount on my fingers then rub it between my hands and apply it all over my face and neck after using a cleanser.
I'm used to using extremely abrasive scrubs, so when I first tried this and realized it was extremely gentle, I was turned off, yet again.
I kept massaging this into my skin for a good minute until rinsing it off.
AND OH MY HOLY PICKLES. My skin felt so clean and smooth afterwards! It never feels that smooth!

When I first used this, I tried using it every other day just to use it sparingly. But nope.
My skin felt so amazing afterwards that I've been using it every single day.
If you take nothing else but this from this post, THIS IS AN AMAZING PRODUCT.

Haha and no, they didn't pay me to say that. But this is honestly the best product I've ever used for my face.
My skin has cleared up a lot since using this, so I finally decided to bite the bullet and look at the price online.
I was expecting this to be extremely expensive. For absolutely no reason, I seriously thought it was a $60 product.
Nope. It's only $18! Which is still pricy in my opinion for a facial scrub, but when it works this amazing, it's definitely worth it.

Okay this review was basically all over...

ANYWAYS.

Overall, I would rate this a perfect 10/10.
Usually I can find something wrong with a product. The packaging. The way it looks/smells/tastes/exists.
Nope.
10/10

Ipsy Glambag: September 2013!!!

Hey everyone!!!

Today I finally got my Ipsy bag. I usually receive it on the 15th of each month, but since that was a Sunday, I got it today! And honestly, I was kind of disappointed with it. I feel like I got the lamest things in mine.

Just an overview of what I got. Plus junk mail in the top corner. :p

The bag this month, I actually like it. I never use the bags because I have an adorable panda makeup bag for smaller trips, and a huge train case for traveling. But this one just feels better, and not super stiff like my past ones.
Plus the design is pretty cute. My others all have Ipsy written on them. Not that it's a problem, but I like this better.

The first thing they actually gave that I wasn't expecting at all, is a sample of an EM palette. I didn't open it really to look because I didn't want the products to dry out, but there's a blush and some eyeshadow colours. I thought this was actually kind of cool!
Maybe they'll include these in the next few bags to help sell?

Oops. I took a sideways picture and didn't flip it.
But this is probably the item I was most excited for; the It's So B!G mascara. I love getting mascaras to try, and have become a huge mascara junkie recently.
I opened it after taking the picture and it seems kinda goopy? I guess we'll see how it works though. :3

The next thing I pulled from the bag was the NYX single Eyeshadow.
The one I got was in the shade Velvet Suede. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it's a really light sky blue colour with glitter in it. I usually don't wear glittery colours, and the only time I've worn blue eyeshadow was for a wedding. But this is a really light colour, so I'm hoping it won't be too extreme.

The next item is the Cailyn tinted lip balm. I look for a shade, but of course, I'm horribly blind and didn't see one.
I actually like the packaging though. I thought this would be something I'd have to stick my finger in and just ugh. But it has a brush in the handle! It's pretty cute.
I'm actually excited to try this.

The next item sent was the Victoria Jackson Taupe Eyebrow Pencil.
Oh no.
I've never used an eyebrow pencil or anything in that style before. I have pretty big eyebrows naturally, so I just pluck them every so often to keep them tamed. I did open this to see the colour on the back of my hand, and it's too light anyways.
I'll most likely be giving this away to a friend.

And the final product I got was the Starlooks eye pencil. I believe I got the colour Obsidian. I swatched this and touched up my eyeliner with it too, to see how it's going to hold.
I like the colour though. I'm usually not a fan of pencil eyeliners anymore, but we'll see.

Overall, this bag was just okay. There were other items I really would have preferred, but I guess it's not a big deal. I just had high expectations from my last bag probably.

Dial Hello Kitty Body Wash Review!!!

Hey everyone!!!

Today I'm going to be reviewing the Dial Hello Kitty Body Wash.
I bought this last year around Christmas, I believe. I finally got around to using it a little while ago.

Of course you would be sideways...
Anyways! As some of you may know, I have an obsession with Hello Kitty. So when I saw this in Walmart, I knew I had to get it!
I bought it for around $4, I believe. Which isn't bad at all!! It's a pretty huge bottle too. :3

The packaging; adorable. First, it has Hello Kitty which makes it perfect. But the pink lid and polka dots all over just add to my love for it.
I'm honestly going to be sad when I have to throw it out. :c

Upon closer inspection, the body wash itself is a clear pink gel.
I thought it was going to smell like bubblegum or something really sweet, or maybe even floral. I'm usually not a huge fan of either of these scents.
But when I used it for the first time, I noticed it was a very light pink grapefruit scent.
I've mentioned before I love pink grapefruit, so I was surprised!

As for the actual product, and not just the look of it, let's jump into that!!!
I'm not really a dirty person. That sounds weird, but unless I've been running around barefoot for hours, I don't get dirty.
So yes, it does get me clean.
The scent doesn't linger on your skin at all I find. As soon as I rinse off, the smell is gone.

But this does lather up rather nicely. :3
Randomly, I actually also like using this to shave with! I just lather some up as I'm washing up, and shave away. It works pretty good. :3 I'm not really one to use shaving creams, hence why I like this.

I feel like this review was all over the place. Ha.

Anyways!!
Overall, I would rate this a 8/10!
It's a really nice product, but it's not life changing.
It kept me clean, and was pretty cheap in my opinion for the amount you get!

August Favourites!!!

Hey everyone!!!

Today I'm going to be doing an August Favourites post. :3
I really love watching videos and reading blog posts, as it gives me a chance to find out about new products, or try some that I have in storage. So if you have one for me to check out, post it in the comments!

But moving on!
I missed a few months for favourites, mainly as I've been busy, or just didn't try out new products.
But this month is FILLED with favourites!!

Here's an overview of my favourites. This is actually a lot for me. I expected to only have a couple.

First we have the Maybelline Fit Me Stick Foundation! I'm in the lightest shade, 110.
I hadn't really heard much on this product when I bought it, but I wanted to give it a try anyways.
I actually really like it though, it's really fast and easy to apply when I'm in a hurry!

Awe bugger. This picture is sideways.
Anyways! This is the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer!
This was actually purchased at the very end of the month, but after three days of using it, I could tell this was going to be a favourite.
I've had really dark circles lately for some reason, and none of my other concealers would cover them up! This bad boy did the job perfectly!

My next favourite is the L'oreal Magic Perfecting Base. :3
I've never really used primers or bases on my face, but I remember my mom using this on me once a few years back, and my skin felt really good afterwards.
The main reason I've been liking this; my makeup goes on so smoothly after, and the pores on my nose look a lot smaller too!

Next up, we have the essence gel eyeliner, in black. I had bought this a while ago, and hated it. It smudged all over and gave me raccoon eye within a few hours. It sucked.
But after seeing neonchipmunk rave about it so much on her blog, I figured it was worth a second try.
I put a powder over it and it stays on all day!!

My last makeup favourite is the Maybelline Rocket Volume Express mascara.
I'm sure everyone's heard of or seen this, or probably even tried it.
I wanted the waterproof version, but I couldn't find it anywhere!
And at first, I hated this. It clumped everything together and was just really wet and messy.
I left it for a month and finally used it again after packing the wrong one. Oops.
But it works really well now that it's probably dried up some. :3 my lashes look really pretty afterwards!

For skincare, I have two favourites!!

The first is the Michael Todd Jojoba Charcoal scrub! I was sent this in my Ipsy Glambag for the month. I've heard so many people talk about it, and I never tried it because it's pretty expensive.
But after trying it out, I might be willing to splurge. It feels really nice, and actually doesn't smell as bad as I thought it would!

And my second, and last skin care favourite is my Clarisonic Mia 2!!
I'm planning on doing a blog post on this soon too, where I'll include where I bought it from.
I got this brand new, for only $80! Which is insane since everywhere else sells them for $150 at least!!!
It came with everything, like the charger and travel case.
My breakouts have slowed down and my face has cleared up a lot since using this. :3

My next favourite is the Yes to Carrots Shampoo and Conditioner!
I bought these a few months ago, wanting to try something new.
I don't use them every day though, just because of the smell. It's not a horrible smell, but it's not this amazing smell. I've gotten used to it though.
My hair always feels really incredible after using this!

And I lied! Third skin care favourite, hiding in my files. :c
This is the Nicel Daily Repair cream. :3
I bought this, along with some others from my work a few weeks ago.
This one in specific is supposed to help even out your skin and whatnot.
I have lots of acne scars, so I thought this would help.
It burns my face a little bit, but that's because it's doing it's magic.
My acne scars are a little bit lighter too!!

And my very last favourite is the Vitamin Water in Acai Blueberry Pomegranate.
OH.
MY.
HOLY PICKLES.
I have an obsession with anything blueberry pomegranate.
I discovered this when I was at Shake The Lake! They were giving it out for free, and this is the one I got.
This is probably my favourite thing ever, and it's just the best and I can't even say enough good things about it!

I loved so much stuff this month. And if you guys have a monthly favourite video or blog post, post the link down below or on one of my social media sites so I can check it out!! :3

Precision Blending Sponge Review!!!

Hey everyone!!!

Today I'm going to be reviewing the Precision Blending Sponge! I bought this a while ago from my work after seeing multiple people rave about the beauty blender. I knew coming into it, it wouldn't be the exact same, but would give me an idea.

I only paid $5 for this, so it wasn't too expensive.

Basically, before each use, you have to wet it so it doesn't absorb the product, and plus it just feels better. And after each use, you have to rinse it out too.
Right away, I hated that. I do my makeup in my bedroom, not my bathroom. It was just a big pain to have to run to another room.

Another thing I wasn't a big fan of, was that it stained from the foundation and what not. I used it more recently for some blush I got, and it was horrible.

As for blending my makeup and applying it, it was alright, but it took way too much time. I prefer either using my hands, depending on the foundation, or using a stippling brush.
I found it gave my makeup a dewy effect as well. I'm oily enough without this, so this didn't do anything for me.

I honestly have nothing good to say about this applicator.
I would rate it a 1/10.
Props for at least being a cute colour I guess.
Maybe for some people this would work, but for myself, horrible.
