Acne Scars + What I Use On Them!!!

Hey everyone!!!

So today I thought I would do a post on my enemy, acne scars.
If you don't have them, you're extremely lucky! And if you don't know what they are, they're exactly what the name sounds like!!
When you get acne, and pick at it, it leaves a scar on your face. Or in my case, if you get acne and leave it so it won't scar, it scars anyways.

But it leaves little red marks all over, making it look like you have acne, even if you don't.

These are my acne scars.
Like most people, they're on my cheeks and chin.
I took these pictures less than an hour ago, and although it looks like I have a bit of acne, I actually only have two pimples, and only one is visible in these pictures. The rest are scars.

I have extremely oily skin, and usually tend to break out on my chin, neck, cheeks occasionally, under my nose, temples, and very very rarely on my forehead.
These acne scars have been acquired over the last seven years.

When I was 14, I didn't see a point in ever washing my face. So I never did until I was 15 and moved to a new school.
Whenever I get a break out on my cheeks or chin, it scars no matter how careful I am with it.

I admit, I used to pick at it lots because it bothered me, and that didn't help at all!
But the last six months I got serious and stopped, but it all still scars for me.

My mom and I have tried tons of products to try and fade them, but none really worked until recently.
I'll also do a post later on about my skin care routine so you can see that. :3 Cause it's been working pretty good!!

But of all the products I've used, ProActiv was definitely the worst.
It broke me out because my skin didn't like the cleanser, and it scarred like crazy!
I also plan on doing a post on that!
Let me know if you guys are interested in that!

But let's jump into the products I've used that have helped!!

Yes to Grapefruits: Dark Spot Correcting Serum
This is definitely one of the major things that has helped with my scarring. Believe it or not, my skin was about 5x worse than it is right now.
But I've been using this for the past two months or so, and it's helped so much!
I plan on doing a review on this soon.

Nicel Daily Repair
I actually haven't been using this as often, just because of the Yes to Grapefruits serum. My nighttime skin care routine already has so many steps, and adding this in is hard. And having to find where to add it in at is harder.
But when I was using this, it helped fade the spots, and even out my redness. :3 I plan on using it again soon!

Grease Lightning
This is a spot treatment from LUSH. I had heard a ton of people rave about it, and finally decided to buy it after receiving a sample of it. I really enjoy it!
Instead of drying out the pimple instantly and making it flakey and gross, it slowly heals it. :3

Apple Cider Vinegar
This is the final thing I use, and it's the one I've been using the longest.
I've been using this for about two years on and off, for multiple reasons.
The smell is horrendous, and it really burns the eyes to get anywhere near it!
But it did help to fade scars a little bit when I used it. :3

I plan on reviewing all of these products eventually, and going into more detail with each and every one!!

Acne isn't fun, but dealing with acne scars is even worse!
But since using all these products, I've had multiple people tell me how much better my skin works. :3
And if you want to see a cheap and easy way to cover acne scars, let me know! I can do a video/post on that as well!

I hope you all have a lovely day and take the time to appreciate the little things! ^__^

Simple Christmas Gift Ideas!!!

Hey everyone!!!

So Christmas is now a month away, and I don't think I'm alone when I say that I suck with Christmas gifts, and getting everything done on time.
I just started my Christmas shopping this weekend, and I'm nowhere close to being done!

I usually don't have too many people to buy for, but this year is probably an exception.
In my family, I really only need to buy for my sisters, my mom and whoevers name I draw in my family.
That was it for last year, but this year, I've acquired friends. And I guess the nice thing to do is buy for them.

So for those of you that are like me; that suck at buying things and procrastinate because of it, this might be helpful.

So let's get started!!!

We're gonna start with girls, because in my opinion, girls are so much easier!!

This is the perfect body wash in my opinion. I got it last year and it smells sweet like candy.
I hate candy scents. I hate sweet things. But I loved this. I was so bummed when I ran out!
And if you order online from Lush, they usually don't take long to ship at all. Great for the holidays!!!

Graphic tees!
This is just one in general that I found, but I find that you can't really go wrong with a graphic tee, no matter the person.
They come in a million styles, and everyone can find a use for them.
I personally like them as pajama shirts, or casual shirts. But they're surprisingly easy to dress up.

Music.
Obviously different people like different music.
If you know the person you're buying for and what they like, it's pretty easy.
But if you don't know what they like, an iTunes gift card is also acceptable.
Or if it's a cute boy, a mixed cd never fails!

NAIL POLISH!!

I personally love nail polish, and think it's a great gift idea for any girl!
Now depending on the girl, choose the colour wisely.
I like pastels, and my best friend typically, for the most part, likes the same colours I do.
But you definitely cannot go wrong with reds, blacks, whites, and pastels in my opinion.
Essie is my favourite brand, but if you're a noob with nail polish, Sally Hansen is also a fantastic brand!

And if you just have no freaking clue what to get for that special girl, a gift card never fails!
Just about every store sells gift cards, and you can usually put whatever amount you like on them.
I usually recommend a Starbucks gift card, just because it's expensive. For most people, they love it, but won't actually use their own money for it, hence the gift card!
And if you're still stumped, a prepaid visa card works just as well!

For the boys!

Now, I suck when it comes to boys in general, but when it comes to buying gifts for boys, I kid you not when I say I'm the worst!
When I think of buying gifts for boys, the only thing I can ever think of getting them is a soccer ball. Legit!

Again, you can never go wrong with a graphic tee!
And guys can usually pull them off a little bit better than girls can too.
If it's colder where you are, a graphic hoodie works just as well!

VIDEO GAAAAMES.

I haven't met a single guy that doesn't love video games.
These always the trick, and whenever I'm super stumped and have to buy for a guy, I usually go with one of these.

I feel like both guys and girls love watches, but I usually see guys wearing them more often than girls.
This is probably a very generic gift to give, and they might be expecting it, but hey. It's something practical that they can use every day... Hey. :D

And again, gift cards.
Like I said, I suck with gifts, especially guy gifts, so I usually try and just do gift cards.
I really enjoy gift cards, because the way I look at it, you're giving them money to buy something they want. So if you give a guy a gift card to a game store, and they buy a game, it's like you bought the game for them.

These are just some really simple ideas that help make Christmas shopping a tad bit easier.
Of course, if you know the person extremely well and you know what they want, what they like or anything, go ahead with that! But if you're really stuck, that's what this post is for!

The stuff you buy doesn't have to cost you an arm and a leg, you can always go to a thrift store if you need to.
Christmas isn't about giving, it's about being with people that you love.
And food.

I hope you guys enjoyed this blog post, and make sure you follow my blog for more Christmas related posts!!!

Nailtini Straight Up Colour Nail Lacquer: Champagne Review!!!

Hey everyone!!!

So today I'm going to be reviewing the Nailtini Straight Up Colour Nail Lacquer in Champagne! That is indeed a mouthful!!
I received this in my November Ipsy bag, and tried it out right away because I thought the colour was super pretty!!!

This picture doesn't even do it justice! It looks really dark and just boring in this picture, because my shadow is there.
At first, I didn't really care when I saw this colour online. I love nail polish, but I've been trying not to get too many, since my collection is starting to break the drawer I hold it all in...

But then I painted my nails, and changed my mind!!!

I always have issues with nail polish brushes. I don't know why!
Sometimes they're too short, they're too long, they're too thin, too wide, or some of the bristles stick out and make my hands look like a dog did them.
But I was pleasantly surprised on how much I liked this brush.
It looks really long, and I thought I wouldn't have lots of control, but it's actually not bad at all!
It picked up a decent amount of the nail polish as well, which made everything go a lot faster!!!

So these are my nails, in proper lighting. And a little heart picture on them because I loved them, even though they were messy.
I typically don't clean my nails, I just let the excess come off in the shower the next morning because I'm a horrible person.

It took two coats to get the colour I wanted. One coat just wasn't enough, but two was perfect!
I wasn't sure about the colour for fall either, not that I'm really one to try to wear colours according to the season, but I'm trying.
But I wore a denim jacket after doing my nails, and it was just so perfect, that if I didn't have to take the jacket off, I wouldn't have.
This is just such a pretty colour and I'm already excited to redo my nails with this colour!!

Overall, I would rate this a 7/10.
Just because I prefer when I can just do a single coat. I don't have many nail polishes that I can do that with, but the ones I do, are flawless.
But it dried surprisingly fast, so that's a bonus!

Arbonne Oil-Absorbing Day Lotion Review!!!

Hey everyone!!!

Today I'm going to be reviewing the Arbonne Oil-Absorbing Day Lotion, with SPF 20!!
There's not much else to say, so let's jump into the review.

This is actually the old packaging. I googled it to make sure I had the right name, and the writing on the bottle looks different. Props to me for staying with the times.

Right away, I'm going to mention that I didn't buy this, my mom did at an Arbonne party. She also used about half before deciding I could have it. Huzzah!
I'm normally really weird about getting this kinda thing from other people, but it isn't makeup, and has a pump, so it's fine.

The website says the product is $49, but my mom ended up paying $60 because of shipping.
No matter the product, I refuse to pay that much for anything. That is ridiculous for anything. I can easily spend less and get more product for my money.

You can see the pump I mentioned, and it looks pretty gross, not gonna lie. But it doesn't affect the actual product, so I really don't care.
When my mom first got this, I tried it for a week to see if it made a difference in my oily skin, and I really hated the pump. It shot all the way across the bathroom and it wasn't fun to clean. (My dirty mind is kicking in right now. :c )

I wanna talk about my feelings with any type of SPF products first.
I don't care for SPF. I know it's good for you, but I work most days, therefore I'm inside, away from the sun completely. I don't really have a reason to use it, but I don't really have a choice since it's in there.

For most products with a pump, I usually just assume one pump is good for one use. But I actually need to use three pumps. I must have a really fat face or something.
And I have zero control over the pump. You know how you can sometimes press down halfway on a pump and get half the product if you know you only need a little?
Yeah no.
Two pumps isn't enough for my face, but three is almost a little too much, so I always have to extend this onto my neck and behind my ears since I pull up my hair anyways. Since I have a tattoo behind my ear, I hate putting products there.

I was going to take a picture of how the actual lotion works, but because it's so expensive, I didn't. And I didn't think of doing it while I got ready. PROPS.
But it's just white, nothing fun or anything.

I was reading the claims the website has while I waited for my pictures to upload, and couldn't help but laugh.
"Lightweight moisturizer helps to absorb oil and filters UV rays to help prevent sunburn, leaving skin with a fresh, matte appearance."

Those are the claims, and in my opinion, they're completely wrong.

This moisturizer actually feels pretty heavy on my skin. I can use foundations, bb creams, concealers, masks, etc, and I've never felt that any of them are heavy. But this feels like it clogs my skin up.
The sunburn part, I can't comment on as I hate the sun as it is.

But it claims to absorb oil and leave your face looking matte.
I've mentioned before and I'll say it again. I have oily skin, especially in my t-zone area.
Hence why my mom let me use the rest of it. She and I both thought it would help with that, but nooope!
My skin is just as oily, so they lied to me.

I at least thought my face would look matte when I first applied my makeup and everything, but negative. I need to use primers and special foundations and whatnot.

But the big question; does it moisturize?
My face is oily and I've mentioned before in previous posts that my skin is rarely ever dry, even without moisturizer.
But I guess it does since I don't have any dry patches. I'll give it that.

Overall; I'm extremely displeased with this product.
I rate it a 3/10, and that's being generous.

There's just so many things wrong with this product.
The price. The claims vs what it actually does.
If this was much cheaper, or even $15, I would consider buying it again just for the SPF and moisturizing fact, but for $60, no way.

I definitely don't recommend this product, especially to those of you with oily skin. It doesn't help in the slightest.

What's on my iPhone + Thoughts on iOS!!!

Hey everyone!!!

A while ago, I did a What's On My iPhone blog post, but since I've done that, I've gotten the new iOS7 update, and changed apps and whatnot around. :3 So I thought I would do an updated post!!!

There's going to be lots of pictures, so let's jump into the post!

This is my lock screen. :3 It's the exact as it was in my last post, and it's been this actually since day one!
It's really dark and whatnot, but I love the quote on it.

Someone mentioned to me that everything is themed around your background, hence why my passcode page looks really dark as well.
I only really change it once people figure out my code too.

this is the first page, and actually the only one I use.

I actually found my old background that I used to have!!! :3 So to the girl that asked for it, I still have it saved just for you!
But I really like this background because it's cute and pastel, and I love the grumpy moon.

At first, I was really put off with the new look of iOS7, and thought everything was really annoying and ugly, but I went back and looked at the old look, and it was really ugly. :c

And this is the second page, that I really don't use. I also just got the bitstrips app, so it's just there because I don't know where I want it yet, or if I really want it.

So I figured I would show the messages app, because it does look a little different in my opinion.
Also, shout out to everyone that I was texting but got really lazy and just never responded!

I wanted to show you guys how the new messaging feature looks too, but I already had a conversation with everyone in my contacts, so I needed to start a conversation with a random person that actually hates me. Yaaaay.
It looks really animated though. :c

So I'm not going to be going through the basic apps that the phone came with, but I thought I would share the ones I've downloaded. :3
In my Social app, I have just the basics that I use every day and whatnot.
I actually mainly just use the Twitter, Instagram and Facebook app.
And if you're wondering how to make your apps look like this, it's in the Cocoppa app!!

And this is page two of my Social apps. These two are just shortcuts to blogs that I read a lot. Nothing special really.

Beside my Social app, I have an app for calling people. So basically they're on speed dial.
I have the Facetime app in there as well because I didn't know where to put it. I usually just facetime on my laptop anyways, or actually call the person.
And these are just the people I call most often, in order.
And everyone else in my contacts just hates calling apparently.

Then I have my Photography app. :3 This is probably my most filled app folder, and I don't even use half!
I know a lot of people put their Instagram in here, but no.
So on the top row, I have Beautiful Mess, which does cost money. Along with Photoshop Express and Whitagram.
I just use them for editing, getting rid of acne marks if they're in a weird spot, or for getting the white border around my pictures.
In the second row I have Squaready, Pixlromatic and Pic Stitch. Again, these are all editing apps.
But I mainly only use Picstitch in that row.
And the last row has PhotoMarkr, Over and Labelbox. I only really use Labelbox when I need to hide information, and Over if I need to watermark pictures for my other blog.

And here's the second page of the folder!!

In the top row I have PhotoChop, TagsforLikes and papelook.
PhotoChop just let's me put my moms face on a dinosaurs body. :p
TagsForLikes, I've actually never used. I think I opened it and just left it.
And Papelook let's you make a scrapbook page/picture collage!

In the middle row I have Afterlight, Fast Camera and another that I don't know what it is! My friend told me about it though.
Afterlight is just an editing app, nothing fancy.
Fast Camera literally snaps over 80 pictures in under a minute.
And the other is just for stickers.

And the last row is cutie and PhotoCandy.
I don't really remember using cutie, but PhotoCandy let's me put a heart border around my pictures, or other shapes. It's actually pretty cute.

Then I have my Utilities folder, which just has kind of random ass things chilling in it.
And there isn't an order at all!!!

I mainly only use the Calculator app for work, Voice Memos for music lessons, Notes for notes obviously, and the Mail app to check my email multiple times a day. :3
And then there's CocoPPa hiding in the corner. :3

And on the second page, I have a weight loss app that I use to help me track my calorie intake, the Netflix app which I don't use a lot, and then a period tracker.
A girl needs to know!

Next up, I have a folder for just money related apps.
I mainly only use the eBay, Starbucks and my banking app. :3
I sometimes check out the Checkout 51 app, because it has coupons on it!

I really like the Starbucks app though, I've gotten so many free drinks because of it!!

I thought I would share my games too, so you have an idea of what I kinda play!
But to be fair, I don't play most of them. They're mainly there to entertain my cousins or people that look through my phone.

I was really addicted to LINE PLAY and Sonic Dash for the longest time though! But then I unlocked the characters for Sonic and got bored. :c
I'm looking for a good racing game right now though!

And then I have a second page!
So I have Minecraft, because minecraft.
But I only really play Subway Surfer! It's a lot like Temple Run, but with hooligans instead, and it's just cute.
And then the Lemonade Stand app, which is a computer game from my childhood!!!

This is literally exactly what it sounds like. My folder for irrelevant apps.
I don't use anything on here, except maybe Ringtones every now and then. It just lets me get free ringtones and make my own, vs buying them.

And then I have a second page, which is surprisingly more interesting.
I have the textPlus app just to mess with people, the Likey app which let's you edit pictures for Instagram again, and then a Walmart photo app which let's me get pictures from my phone developed.

This is exactly the same as the original Social app, just not in the same order. And it has Vine in it. :c I don't really use Vine, I prefer instagram.

And then we have the second page, which has We heart it, and an app called 1000Likes, which is actually deleted and forbidden!
It was an app that let you basically buy likes for your instagram, which I didn't do. :p
I only had it because someone I knew had their picture on the apps homepage!

And the last folder I have is for Music related things.
It just has some radio apps, and two random ones I've actually never used! :p
But the TuneIn Radio one let's me find local radio stations which I like.

And the last picture I have is just to show how the music looks when you're playing it. :3
I actually really like the look of it now that it's been updated.

So that's everything on my iPhone, and I shared my thoughts as we went along!
Overall, I really love the new update. I thought I was going to hate it, but it's really pretty and nice looking.
I actually saw it about two/three months before it was officially released thanks to a friend. I wasn't a fan of it then until I actually had it.

Some of my favourite features though include that you can block peoples numbers now and that your apps update automatically! :D

St. Ives Green Tea Scrub Review!!!

Hey everyone!!!

Today I'm going to be reviewing the St. Ives Green Tea Scrub!
This is another one of those products I've been using on and off for the past two years or so.

So let's jump into it!

I actually think St. Ives got a new packaging for this product, but this is the old one because I for some reason thought it was limited edition, so I bought another and just hid it in my hall closet for the longest time.
Also, it has my name on it so no one else would use it. So ignore that.

I was on this kick where I tried to get all my skin care products oil-free, which I kinda stopped doing because a lot of the ones I wanted to try were not oil-free. But when I can, I do.

I've mentioned in previous posts that I have extremely oily skin. And I've heard before that green tea is good for that, and for acne.

About two years ago, I got into this green tea kick, and also a face scrub kick. So when I saw this, I had a little bit of a freak out in Walmart, and knew I had to get this.

First of all, it smells really nice. I wouldn't say it smells like green tea, but it does have a really nice smell that I can't even describe because I suck at doing that.

Next up is the colour. It's actually darker in this picture because of my shadow, but it's a pastel green colour. And we all know I'm a fan of pastels, so that's just a bonus.

But the consistency in the picture is actually spot on.
It's a scrub, but when you dispense some, it looks just really creamy and wonderful.
I can easily get away with a pea sized amount, and just rub it between my hands for a second, which helps it to foam up the tiniest bit, and then scrub my face.
I've used really harsh scrubs in the past, and even though they're really bad for skin to use everyday, I still did. So when I used this and found out it wasn't extremely exfoliating, I was a little put off of it.
But I stopped using scrubs at the night time for a few months (to be fair I just got really lazy and used Bioderma for a good six months) but then I found this in my closet, and decided I needed to use it before it went bad.

So after months of not using scrubs, this actually felt really nice on my skin, and now anything rougher than this, I can't deal with it.
So I like it.

I know I've recommended this to friends before, and some have complained about a few things that I thought I would share.
One of my friends said that when you got this in your eye, it burned. So don't wash your eyes with it is the obvious solution.
But a few said that on open acne, it burned. Which I agree with.

My skin isn't as bad anymore, but when I do have the occasional zit and it pops (ew gross), then I use this the same night (because I only use it once a day) it does burn the area that the zit was in.

So if you have a lot of open acne spots, I wouldn't recommend this. But if your skin is pretty good, I would say to give this a shot!

Overall; I'm rating this a 9/10.
Just because yes, it burns because it's cleaning I guess, or something, but I hate when stuff burns my skin.
But my skin is pretty decent, it's just acne scars. So I don't have a huge problem with that.
My favourite thing is still the smell of it. It's just wonderful.
