TRESemmé Heat Tamer Spray Review!!!

Hey everyone!!!

I apologize for being gone for what seems like forever, but I was busy with work and tattoos!! :3
Enough with that short winded speech, as I'm excited to jump into the review!!!

This is an item I'm sure everyone's pretty familiar with, but in case you aren't, as I'm sure you can tell by the picture, it's the TRESemmé Heat Tamer Spray.
And what it is, is exactly what it sounds like!

It says you can use it on damp hair or dry, but I've never liked the idea of putting product into my dry hair unless it's mousse or hairspray, so I always just put it in before I blowdried my hair.
I really liked the idea of this product, but before I go into more detail, I figured I should give a little backstory on my hair.

For two years straight, everyday I would wash my hair, blow dry it then straighten it without a break.
I would dye once or twice a year too, never using special products to keep it healthy.
Which means I never used a heat protectant spray. But my hair was extremely healthy considering what I did to it. Heck, it was even better than my sisters hair who has never once put heat on her hair.

Anyways, I decided I should try this to keep my hair healthy and strong. I had previously used one with olive oil but that was nothing special.
I just sprayed this all over my damp hair, then brushed it so it would kind of go all over. After that, I would blowdry my hair and straight it as normal.
I would occasionally put this in my dry hair if I let it dry naturally then decided to curl it or straighten the tips.

This is an item everyone in the beauty community raves about constantly, but I can safely say my hair didn't feel any different after using it.
I don't feel like it helped my hair or helped from damage. I used it until I ran out still, but it's not something I'm going to run out to purchase.

One thing I will say is that I noticed people always comparing this to the Aussie heat spray, and saying this is the best thing ever because of the spray, which I agree on. It came out in a nice mist that coated my hair.
But towards the end, it just squirted in a stream, like the Aussie product. I stopped using it, but it only had a tiny bit left, so maybe that happens with all bottles?

Overall, I would probably rate this a 5/10.
I liked the idea of it, and for some reason, I liked having something to put in my hair.
Would I repurchase this? Possibly, but I don't see myself running to the store to grab this again.

ELF Total Face Brush Review!!!

Hey everyone!!!

I'm going to be reviewing the ELF Total Face Brush today, and I have to admit right now that I'm in love with this, so much, that I own two of them!!

I ordered one of these online and I bought the other at my local dollar store. These brushes were I believe $1-$1.50 each, which isn't bad at all. This is the cheapest I've ever paid for a makeup brush!

When you purchase one of these, from anywhere, they come with the plastic cover that the right one has on it. I kept them so they don't lose their shape when I'm travelling. I hate when my brushes are all bent and weird looking.

When I first got one, I had the genius idea to use it with a liquid foundation.
Never do that!
I thought because it was a 'total face brush' I could. Um, wrong. It's not for liquid foundations. I think I'm the only one that would do that.
So I washed it after, getting rid of all the makeup just chilling on it. Thank goodness.

I've heard of people using these for their powders, blushes and bronzers. But I already have brushes specifically for blushes and bronzers, so I only use these for powders.
The reason I have two is because I have four powders. Two are white/pastel and two are skin tone, so I didn't like the idea of mixing them. I easily could and it wouldn't make a difference, but I wanted to be difficult.

They work amazing for powdering my face. It's easy enough to just swirl this in my powder then all over my face. I love these brushes, and actually want more, even though I have no use for more.
Yet.
;)

I found they did shed on me the first few uses, but after I washed them, the shedding mainly stopped. I occasionally get the random stray hair, but it's nothing major.
I try to wash them every two to three weeks to help prevent the shedding, and just to keep them clean.

It's really gross because after three weeks, they don't really look that bad, but when I wash them, after just one I have to change the water because it's already disgusting looking.
Eww.

I found that the first few uses, brand new and after washing are the best as these are extremely soft on my skin.
After about a week of using them everyday, they aren't as soft. Don't get me wrong, they're still extremely nice on the face, and it doesn't feel like you're putting powder on with a sword, but they're not as soft as they used to be.
But again, after you wash them, good as new!!

I just wash them with baby shampoo right after I use them so they have 24 hours to fully dry. These ones are bigger than the rest of my makeup brushes, so they do take a little longer to dry.

Overall; I would rate the ELF Total Face Brush a 9/10.
The only flaw being the very rare shedding and the not so soft after a week feeling, but that's easily solved by washing them.
This might actually be a good thing because that's what reminds me that I need to wash my makeup brushes. :c

Clearasil Seal-To-Clear Review!!!

Hey everyone!!!

So today I'm going to be doing a review on the Clearasil Seal-To-Clear gel! I got this bad boy in one of the Clearasil automatic face wash systems. If you want a review on that, let me know. :3

This is what it looks like. It's just a wee little baby. I'd say it's actually about the same size as it is in the picture, which makes it awesome for travelling.
I haven't seen this little guy in stores anywhere, not that I really look much for this brand. I've used a few products in my teen years, and don't remember having any bad experiences really, but for some reason I just never repurchased anything.

Honestly, I didn't have high hopes for this product at all.
The first time I put it on my skin, it felt really weird. Slimy at first, but then it made my skin feel extremely dry. Not like 'oh dang my skin is dry' but when I touched it, it felt dry.
I hope that makes sense.

But I left it, mainly because I figured I had already washed my face for the night and I didn't want to do it again.
So I put a moisturizer on over top and went to bed.

When I woke up, I had totally forgotten I had put it on, until I touched my cheeks, where I had put it the night before. Again, they felt dry to the touch.
And let me tell you, it takes a lot to make my face dry. I don't recall ever having my face dry once. So I was extremely upset that this product was a total piece of poop.

However, once I jumped in the shower and washed my face, it felt amazing!! The second I started cleansing my skin, where I had put the gel felt extra smooth. I could feel it coming off my face, which felt awesome. And then I felt the tiny bump.
The tiny bump.
The tiny bump had been a huge zit the night before. Meaning, yes. It shrunk.

After getting out of the shower and going back into my room where I could actually see myself in the mirror, I could see the acne had gone down a lot. I then checked to see if the skin was still dry or anything, as I've often heard of people using spot treatments and getting dry skin from them.
Nope! It was normal as always.

Overall; I would rate this beauty 7/10!
The dry feeling when I put it on is very off putting, and makes me feel so weird about this.
But after using it for two weeks straight, I can tell I'm going to be hunting for this product in the future.
Dare I say this is better than my ELF Zit Zapper? :o

St. Ives Hydrate Cucumber Melon Lotion Review!!!

Hey everyone!!

Today I'm going to be reviewing the St. Ives lotion in Cucumber Melon, also known as the hydrating lotion. This is something my mom bought for me a while ago, and is something I've been using on and off for about a year or so now.

First off, yes. That is my name written on it. I kept it in the bathroom for the longest time, and since I live with other people, I didn't want it being used, okay?

So like I said earlier, I've been using this on and off for a while. So when I have friends over and they use a little, they're surprised on how much is still left.
I'd say I've used 1/4 of the bottle, which isn't a lot. This thing is huge!

I bought this because I know lotion is good for keeping your skin hydrated, which is obviously a good thing.
Now let me start off by saying, my skin isn't dry at all. The only thing that ever gets dry is my legs and the spaces between my fingers, and that's only if I'm working, or if I shave my legs dry. But other than that, my skin has always been good.
Nonetheless, I decided to try to get into lotions.

At first, I tried keeping this in the bathroom and only really used it when my hands got dry.
But I found out it didn't really do anything for my dry hands. All it did was make them greasy feeling, thus trapping me in my own bathroom because I couldn't open the door. I'm a little embarrassed to admit this happened more than once.

I don't know why, but I was actually expecting it to be a pastel green colour, but nope. Just white.

So like I said, this lotion does nothing for my hands. So I moved it into my bedroom and tried using it on my legs. The first time, it felt like it again, did nothing.
I tried it for a week straight, after I got out of the shower and before I went to bed.

This lotion is probably the weirdest one I have ever used, and most likely ever will use.
When I put it on my legs, then put on pants, I could feel that a lotion was on my legs, but it literally did nothing for them. They were the same as always. If they happened to be dry beforehand, they would be dry and flaky after the lotion as well.

This is a product I really wish I could love! The smell is nice, but doesn't linger, which I like. I love the brand of St. Ives face products, which is why I picked this up.
It's so cheap, which is another reason I wish it worked for me. I've heard so many people rave about it, but it doesn't do a thing for me.
I guess it's time I give up, and just pass this on to a friend or something, or just suck it up and use the rest of it up.

Overall, I would rate it a 3/10.
You get a lot of the product for your money, it smells nice, and the pump is awesome. I hate those lotions that have the flip cap.
But it does nothing, so I refuse to give it a higher rating.

Lush Tea Tree Water Review!!!

Hey everyone!!!

So today I'm going to be reviewing an item I've been using for the past few months, which happens to be Lush's Tea Tree Water! And incase you weren't aware, it's actually a toning water.

One of my favourite things about this, is the fact that after I wash my face, I can just spray it all over and I'm good!! I'm a super lazy person, so the thought of opening a bottle of toner, getting a cotton pad, and well, you know how it goes. Well yeah, needless to say, that was too much effort, hence why I love this.

Another amazing thing about this, is that it helps with my acne. I'm not going to go on and on about how I haven't had acne since I've been using this, cause that would be a lie. I still get acne, but this helps so I don't get as much.
I also really like this for travelling, because I don't have to worry about packing other things, or having it leak. And this one actually lasts a long time too.
I ordered the smallest bottle, but it lasted a while! I have about a weeks worth left, and I'm trying to savour it.

If you use Lush products, you know they all have expiration dates. This one is good for around a year. :3 Which is nice because for the first little while, I didn't even use it. I forgot about it.

I've always just sprayed this all over my face, but some people prefer to spray it onto a cotton pad/ball and use it that way. I find that the cotton just absorbs all the product, so I'd rather not.

As we all know, I have very oily skin, especially my t-zone! But this little baby helps minimize the oil, which helps my makeup to stay where it's supposed to!

Overall, I would rate this a 9/10. I love it, and I'm definitely repurchasing it asap.
I wish it did a little more for my acne, but hey, it does pretty darn good for the price!!

Cute Things On eBay Pt. 2!!!

Hey everyone!!!

As we all know, in about a month, schools coming up. So I thought this would be the perfect time to make a 'Cute Things On eBay' post, yet again.
The reason I thought now would be perfect, is because most of the things I'm going to be showing you can take up to a month to get to you, so it would come just in time!
One of my favourite things about buying off eBay, is that a lot of people in your area won't have the item, which makes it really unique.

I'm going to be showing you guys a fun jumble of things, so let's just jump into it!!!

Makeup!!!

Jewelry!!!

Accessories!!!

Clothes!!!

iPhone!!!

I hope this post helps out a little bit. :3 For the most part, shopping on eBay is pretty cheap. I always get a lot of bang for my buck!!

If there's a certain area you want me to cover (cute backpacks, makeup, etc.) let me know. :3

CoverGirl Intense ShadowBlast Review!!!

Hey everyone!

The other week while I was working, I noticed that we were selling the CoverGirly Intense ShadowBlast Cream Eyeshadows. They caught my eye, but I was extremely hesitant to get them, mainly because I have extremely oily skin. Cream eyeshadows is one of my worst enemies when it comes to makeup. They stay nice for a couple minutes then crease like there's no tomorrow.
But after staring at them for days, I finally decided to pick two up.
I ended up getting Beige Blaze and Forever Pink. I'm a sucker for pink eyeshadows.
I have to admit though, they kind of just sat around, looking pretty for a couple of days before I decided to try them.

I only took a picture of the Forever Pink, because I lost the other one while doing my makeup this morning.
Oops.

Anyways, judging by the name and the colour, I figured this would be extremely pigmented and be, well, intense.
But I was wrong. And I'll get to that in a second.

After opening it, I was actually a little startled to see this was how I was supposed to apply it.
A sponge.
Although now that I actually think about it, I don't know how else you would really do it. It feels pretty cool on the eyelids when I put it on, which is nice when it's hot.

I decided I should do two swatches of it. The top one is it just as is, and the bottom is it blended in, and that's with good lighting. Honestly, they all look the same after you blend them in. It doesn't give a ton of colour payoff. If anything, it just gives a little shimmer, and that's it.
I actually discovered these are AMAZING as a base for your normal eyeshadow.
I've tried other bases, and after about five hours, they crease on me, but these keep my eye makeup perfect from seven in the morning until ten at night.

But if you decide to wear it alone, just as a plain old eyeshadow, well, good luck.

See that beige line?
Yup, that was my eye makeup after three hours. It creased so bad.
So yeah, as just an eyeshadow, they suck. But if you use them as a base, they work amazing.

They suck with colour, and at being a shadow. So if I was rating it just on that, I would rate it a 2/10. It'd be good if you were just going to a bar or on a date for an hour, but that's about it.
But if you use it as a base, a solid 10/10!!
I definitely recommend this if you have problems with eye makeup sliding all over the place.

Bioderma Sensibio H20 Review!!!

Hey everyone!!!

Today I'm going to be reviewing a product that I'm sure you've probably heard of before, which would be Bioderma Sensibio H20.
Better known as just plain old Bioderma though.

So if you don't know what Bioderma Sensibio H20 is, it's a cleansing water. And if you still don't know what that is, it's a product that lets you cleanse your face without actually washing it.

So this is what the product looks like. As you can see, I got the 250ml bottle for sensitive skin. I actually have oily skin, not sensitive, but I saw the pink, didn't read and just grabbed this one.
It cost me around $30, where I got it at Shoppers Drug Mart. Shoppers is usually pretty expensive, but this is also the only place I've seen it in Canada, so I'm not gonna complain.
I'll post where you can get it online at the end. :3

If you know me, you know I have horrible acne scars and problematic skin. I'm also very lazy when it comes to washing my face because I feel like there are way too many steps. Which is why I decided to pick this baby up!!

I only use it at night, because in the morning, I'm in the shower anyways so I might as well wash my face then. And plus I like using scrubs to wake my skin up.
At night just before bed, I'll take a makeup removing wipe, remove most of my makeup, then use this bad boy here to get the rest and clean my skin.

Again, because I have oily skin, I wear a lot of waterproof makeup, which can be a pain to remove. Especially the mascara.
I put a little of this onto an exploiting cotton pad, wipe it all over my face, and DONE.
It gets rid of that pesky mascara, eyeliner, foundation, what-freaking-ever!

Another thing that I love about this, like insanely, is the fact that I can travel with it.
I absolutely hate when I spend good money on a product, and it spills all over my suitcase or makeup or something, destroying everything.
The flip cap is nice because it's a little harder to open, so when it bumps into something while I'm carrying my suitcase, it's not gonna explode all over.
It's also really nice on those nights when I get home extremely late, I just use this and I'm good.

And because of the little spout used to get the product out, I don't ever spill it. I squeeze it the tiniest bit and the perfect amount always gets onto the cotton pad. You don't need a lot of it. :3

I can't even remember how long I've had this for, but I still have it. It's lasted months and is probably about half full still or so.

Overall, I definitely recommend this product to everyone.
As for rating, I would rate it a perfect 10/10.
I've never had a problem with this. It's just as good as washing your face, but takes WAY less time.

ELF Lash & Brow Clear Mascara Review!!!

Hey everyone!!!

Today I'm going to be reviewing a product I've been using for the past two months, which, as you probably guessed from the title, is the ELF Essential Wet Gloss Lash & Brow Clear Mascara!
I first saw this product when my friend used it and showed me how to use it. I was really intrigued, and after almost a year, I sucked it up and bought it, for $1.
That's right, this beauty is only $1, and that's from the actual website too!! :3
I actually received it back in November, but didn't actually use it until about May.

This is what the actual product looks like. It's about the size of an eyeliner pencil, so it's easy to travel with. Both sides look the same, but the little silver ends tell you which end is which.
I haven't tried the mascara side, but as I'm sure you can tell, I've used the eyebrow side. It's really gross and dirty from my foundation, so I need to pick up a new one soon, or use the other side.

When you unscrew it, this is what it looks like. Just a simple brush. :3 The other side looks exactly the same, so I didn't feel the need for a picture.
But anyways, moving on!!

This is usually the second last step in my makeup routine, hence the colour of the gel. And since I'm applying moisturizer, foundation, concealer, powders, etc. my eyebrows end up all over the place. I'm not even kidding when I say that, and when I try using a normal eyebrow brush, for some reason they always just go straight, without an arch.

But this gel keeps them in place, all day long! For the first few hours, your eyebrows are actually kinda hard from the gel, but after that, they're totally fine.
And it's really easy to remove with either a face wash or just a makeup removing wipe.

Everyone I talk to tells me they use clear mascaras, which usually cost about $5 minimum, which is kind of ridiculous, when you could easily save the four dollars, and get a two in one product!

After a few weeks of constant use though, I found the product on the lip of the product would dry up, which isn't a big deal. It occasionally would get on the brush, and then onto my eyebrow, leaving a tiny white clump. But it's more than easy enough to remove with another sweep of the brush. :3

Overall, I would rate this product a 10/10.
I can't find anything wrong with the product at all, other than the white clumps, but if I clean it, it'll be fine!
