How to Make Money!!!

Hey everyone!!!

I know as a kid, I was always broke. I also wasn't one of those kids that got an allowance, so getting $10 every few months was extremely exciting for me, as was coming across the random dollar.

Judging by the title, I'm sure you can all easily guess what this blog post is about; making money.
Some ways are easier than others.
And I know that most of my readers are probably more in their teenage years, so I thought this could be a cool and funky blog post to do!!!

You might not be able to do everything on this list, but I'm sure at least one of these will work for you. :3

  1. Babysit! This is a great way to earn some money, and it's relatively easy as well. I'm not a professional babysitter, and never advertised my services, but this would be a pretty good idea to do! I mainly just babysat for my family and neighbours, or when my sister wasn't able to do it, again, I would fill in for her. I never really charged a certain amount, but I was never disappointed. Just make sure not to take on too many kids.
  2. Lemonade stand! This is a really adorable idea. It might be a little late for this one, but you could even have a hot chocolate stand if you wanted in the winter. :3 Don't expect to make hundreds off this, but if you have a little sibling or someone wanting to make money, help them out with this.
  3. Sell things! I know in my closet, there's a bunch of things I never use, don't need, and totally forgot I had!!! My city has a Facebook page for selling things that you don't want, and it's actually pretty cool. I've been able to sell old video games on it easily, and jewelry that I've never worn. Otherwise kijiji or eBay would be another great place to sell online!
  4. Help out around the house! Start helping out your parents around the house. When I really wanted money, I helped with the dishes and vacuumed the living room, or cleaned the stairs really well. When my mom saw how hard I worked, she would give me a little bit of money.
  5. Apply for a job! Obviously you have to be a certain age to apply for a job, depending where you're applying. But this is probably one of the best ways to make money. If you're in school, apply for a part time job for nights and/or weekends.
  6. Odd jobs! You probably know a few people that would like to have their sidewalk shovelled, their grass cut, their gutters cleaned out, or maybe even their garage cleaned. This is always a really good thing to do, and it's really good to put on a resume.
  7. Bake sale! Just like a lemonade stand, but with baked goods! Everyone loves homemade desserts. This is a really good idea for a fundraiser too. Just make sure you have plenty of goods and an awesome location.
  8. Walk the neighbourhood dogs! This would probably actually go with #6, but hey. :p A lot of people don't have the time to walk their dogs, and this is actually a bonus if you're wanting to get a dog of your own. You get to spend time with a cute dog while getting in some exercise.

I hope this helps you all out in making a little bit of spending money.
I'll try to make up a Cute Things on Ebay part 3 post soon too! :3

Small Makeup Haul!!!

Hey everyone!!!

Today after work, I went to Shoppers to do a little bit of makeup shopping. I was running out of a few things, and wanted to try some things. And I went on the right day!!!
By the way, if you don't know what Shoppers is, it's a drug store. So it has a bunch of stuff.
It's usually overpriced in my opinion, but I was there anyways, and everything I bought was on sale!! :3

Here's everything I bought!
Just ignore my makeup case and empty tissue box. :p I ran out this morning and that was probably one of the things I should've hauled.
But moving on!!!

The first thing I went for was Rimmel's Stay Matte powder, as I hit pan on mine.
I got my actual shade this time vs a totally weird shade that's too dark for me!
I bought two of these, because they're normally $7 at Walmart, but they were on sale for $5 each!! So I snagged two of them up. I probably would've gotten more, but they were running really low.
This is my favourite powder to use, and I definitely recommend it.

The next thing I got is the new Maybelline Fit Me Shine Free Foundation Stick.
I've been seeing people rave about this, and I tested it out a few times in stores, and it always seemed really interesting. Plus I love anything from the Maybelline New York line.
I of course, got the lightest shade.
It felt really nice on my hand when I tested it, so I'm excited to see how it'll hold up on my face. :3

The next thing I got was the Quo Duo Ended Concealer, in the lightest shade. As per usual.
This is something I've been using for quite a while, and definitely one of my favourite concealers.
It's about $16 for one of these, but they do last a while and cover up well!
It has a stick side which I prefer, but it also has a liquid side that I like to use when I'm wearing bb creams or liquid foundations.
Quo is owned by Shoppers, I believe. But you can probably find it online somewhere if you don't have a Shoppers in your area. :3

And the last thing I bought was my favourite foundation ever, the Maybelline New York Dream Matte Mousse foundation!
I hit pan on the one I'm using, so I figured I might as well grab one before I ran out. They finally had my shade on sale, now that everyones tan and doesn't use it.
Well, not everyone. ;)
This foundation gives amazing coverage and holds up pretty good in the heat. I'm really happy I was able to find my shade!

That's everything I bought today, and I'm pretty happy with everything I got.
I was going to get some makeup removing wipes too, as I have a coupon for some thanks to Neutrogena, but they didn't have the kind I wanted, so I'll wait for another day.

Neutrogena Oil-Free SPF 15 Moisturizer Review!!!

Hey everyone!!!

So today I'm going to be reviewing the Neutrogena Oil-Free SPF15 Moisturizer!
I bought this a few months ago from my work, with pretty low expectations. I usually use Olay products in that department, and hadn't really used too many Neutrogena products in my years of skincare.

I bought this daredevil for $8 from my work, plus my discount.
I bought this at the beginning of summer, as none of my other moisturizers contained SPF at all, which I actually found weird. I thought everything had it these days.

I have extremely oily skin, as we all know, so I was delighted to see this was oil free.
The bottle is a decent size, at 118mL.

It has a nice little pump to dispense of the product, but I really love this because it locks so I can bring it with me when I go away on weekends!
I haven't had a problem with it leaking or anything, which is awesome since I usually bang around my makeup storage case where I keep this.

And for some reason, I didn't think of taking a picture of what it looks like.
That was smart...
Basically though, it looks like your standard moisturize. Creamy, white, ya know how it goes.
I find this to be a lot more... Liquidy than my other moisturizers though, which isn't something I usually go for. I feel like they're just going to slid off my face and do nothing, which I'm happy to say, this one doesn't do!!

I usually just use one pump and that's enough to cover my face and neck area. It does has a sunscreen smell, which I could do without, but it doesn't linger which is nice. It's just kinda there on my fingers while I'm doing my makeup until I sanitize my hands.

I actually really like this product, and can see myself hunting for it in the future. I haven't seen this in a lot of stores, so it might be hard. Or maybe it's just that I'm not looking hard enough.

Overall, I would rate this a 9/10.
It's an amazing product, and if you can get your hands on it, I definitely recommend it. It keeps my face moisturized, which as I've mentioned in other blogs isn't a huge issue, but it does it's job without breaking me out!

Holika Holika Petit BB Cream: Clearing Review!!!

Hey everyone!!!

Today I'm going to be reviewing the Holika Holika Petit BB Cream in Clearing. :3
There are four other kinds of bb cream in this line, which include Essential, Moisture, Watery, and Shimmering. I chose the Clearing one though because if you know me, I have very acne prone skin.

So let's get straight into the review!

Here we have the Holika Holika Petit BB Cream: Clearing edition. :3
I have to admit, one of the things that drew me to this was the colour of the packaging. I'm a sucker for anything in this colour range. And since summers coming up, I wanted to go for something that's lighter than my foundations, not that any are too heavy.

I love that this has SPF 30 in it. It's been getting a lot hotter here, which I didn't think was possible! I didn't really have anything with SPF in it before, or at least nothing that was in the double digits. My moisturizer is only an 8, I believe.
AND GURL, AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT!

When I first put a little onto my hand, I was really worried it would be too dark or not match my skin. Even though I don't actually look it, I'm extremely pale. I always go for the lightest foundation/powder/concealer in any brand, and sometimes they're still too dark.

But I do have to comment on the scent; it smells really good. Like summer. Not like a floral summer, but just a nice pleasant summer. :3

First of all, can we just comment on how weird and manly my hand looks in these pictures? ; - ;

Moving on!
After I blended it in (I just used my hand) it actually matched my skin really well, and got rid of any redness I have. It felt really nice on my skin too, like I wasn't wearing anything.
I've tried other BB creams, and they almost always feel cakey on my skin, but this felt so light!
It also fits my skin perfectly, which is amazing. I'm always a little nervous when buying foundations or anything in that general area online, because you can't really compare it with your skin tone.

When I apply this, I just put a little bit on the back of my hand, then apply it with a stippling brush. It goes on so nicely, and makes my skin look flawless, which is amazing, especially for a BB cream!
I have very problematic skin, with acne and acne scars showing up all over the place, and this covered all of them! I don't even need concealer when using this, which is a first.

Because it is a BB cream however, I do apply a matte powder over it just so it isn't sliding all over the place.
I have extremely oily skin, especially on my forehead, and this doesn't move at all. It stays put!

One of my favourite things about this BB cream is definitely the fact that it's waterproof!! And I mean it.
I went to my families farm today and went swimming. I thought for sure it was going to come off and expose all those pesky little scars and two lovely little bumps I have chilling on my forehead. But even after swimming for an hour and wiping my face like crazy (I had water in my eyes) this gem stayed put!
It even outlasted my waterproof mascara and eyeliner.
YOU GO GLEN COCO.
But!
It did come off easily when I used a makeup removing wipe. Which I love!
I always have problems with removing my waterproof makeup at night, and I hate having to rub my skin so hard.

Without a second thought, this is definitely going to be my summer time coverup, especially on those really hot days.
I rate this beauty a 10/10!
It's extremely cheap, costing less than $6, with free shipping. It did take a month to get to me, but definitely worth the wait!
I ordered it a month before the hot weather even started. ;3

I hope this review helps anyone looking for a bb cream. :3
